Commercial - Dixon Hall

With the exterior finished we began the interior. Due to the programs that take place during the day the best scenario for all was to work nights. Two weeks of 9pm to 5am was different for us and our crew but well worth it. They worked with a designer who supplied the colour choices and what beautiful colours they were. The end result looked amazing thanks in part to the donation of paint from Sherwin Williams. The anniversary party went according to plan and the paint job now does the place justice.

We used Sherwin Williams No Voc Harmony Latex for all interior walls and Sherwin Williams A100 Latex for the exterior of the building.

Commercial - Stavros Tailors

Stavros Tailors located on Cumberland St, Toronto, contacted us in the summer to paint their existing awning and strip and stain the window frames and doors. The awning was a straightforward process. The door and window frames however were not!. With several layers of old stain and varnish to remove we spent the majority of the project with an eco friendly paint stripper in our hands.

Once the wood was stripped and sanded smooth we applied a mahogany varnish finished with a clear coat. The door required a special dye rubbed in to enhance the colour prior to being varnished and stained. The project was completed over the course of a few weekends due to the location.

Residential - Deck Staining

In the summer of 2009 we were contacted by a lady who had recently completed renovations to the interior of her home. With that done the outside needed a little attention. With a front and back deck in various stages of aging they looked out of place with the new front door and brickwork.

The front deck needed to be rejuvenated and the back deck needed to be stripped. Once dry we returned in a few days to power sand the deck floors and handrails. The chosen colour for the front deck was a light colour to complement the front door. The back door received a traditional cedar coloured stain to match the fence.

Residential - Complete Exterior

The homeowners changed out the old boards for new ones prior to us prepping the rest of the wood. We used a solid stain for the deck floor and a latex semi-gloss for the spindles and handrails.

To the rear of the house there is a set of French doors looking out onto a beautiful garden. The French doors also needed some attention, requiring us to strip the existing stain, bleaching out the greying that had occured and restaining with a beautiful high gloss varnish.

The project took a little under three weeks, split up due to the unsettled weather.
