Project Spotlight

Rashers - Toronto, ON

  • May 2016

Project Description

Rashers has had a presence in the East end of Toronto since 2012 and building on the success of that location they picked the perfect spot on Ossington Ave, in the West end to expand. The owner, Richard, contacted Element Painters to discuss the possibility of designing and painting an interior mural at their new location. Fresh off the heels of painting a mural for Sea Witch Fish & Chips we had our designing hats on and were raring to go.

With a general concept of bacon being the main theme we had a solid starting point to begin the design phase. A couple of tweaks to the original design and we were ready to grab our paint brushes and set to work. Using sign paint so only one coat would be required was key in keeping it sharp and fully opaque. No vinyl used here! So many pop culture references are littered throughout the mural and all of them are bacon themed in some way, shape or form. Another successful project by Toronto's finest muralists.
