Our company policy is simple. High quality workmanship using the finest eco products

All of the major paint manufacturers are on board and complying if not exceeding the current standards. Other paint companies have surfaced in recent years offering truly eco friendly paints and supplies. A major concern we hear from people on a daily basis is :
“Are low to no VOC paints more expensive?” We are happy to answer “No!”
Due to ever increasing demand within the paint industry
for healthier alternatives, the price difference which
was once significant has now substantially dropped and
is usually a match for the ‘traditional’ alternatives.
I have heralded the choice and the quality of the
products and you are now probably wondering what's the
best for your project. There are different finishes
for interior application and no strict guidelines as
to what you can use.
Matte: A matte finish would be suitable for ceilings and low traffic areas where sticky fingers from wandering hands aren’t an issue. Matte paint is a good choice for an imperfect wall or surface as a sheen would reflect the problem areas thus highlight them. A warning for matte paint: Notoriously hard to clean. Soap and water is ideal for clean up.
Flat Enamel: A flat enamel is perfect for closet spaces and pantries. Not as durable as eggshell but can still withstand occasional cleaning with soap and water. A flat enamel is an economical option for garages or rooms with limited activity.
Eggshell: Eggshell finish is one of the most requested on our projects. It has a noticeable sheen upon application and is a great reflector of light. Great for hiding minor imperfections on a surface but those major dents will need to be resurfaced and primed before the finish coat is applied. It is easier to clean and maintains a fresh look for a long time in the right environment.
Satin: A satin paint has a smooth, velvety finish with a hint of gloss. Ideal applications are trim, windows and doors. Other rooms in the home where a satin finish would be suitable are a child’s bedroom or a kitchen. Basically any areas that are subject to high traffic a satin finish would be a great choice. It holds up to regular washings and scrubbings if and when needed
Semi Gloss: A semi gloss is most often used in high traffic areas where regular contact is made. Doors and frames, trim and cabinetry are all good candidates for a good quality semi gloss. So long as the surface is free from defects and indentations, a semi gloss is a durable choice for those tougher areas. Due to it’s gloss a semi can highlight the good things or magnify the bad so preparation is the key. It can withstand frequent cleaning with the appropriate product. If used on furniture a varnish to protect the surface would be necessary for longevity.
Gloss: A high gloss paint would be a chosen finish for cabinetry and trim. It is not widely used as a semi gloss is more flattering. Due to its reflective qualities it can be unflattering when used improperly. But due to changes in interior design a polished surface can offset an eggshell finish on the wall. Contemporary homes and modern interiors have utilised both a high gloss finish and an eggshell with outstanding results. As with the semi gloss for added durability a clear varnish may be required of subject to regular wear and tear.
